Anane is a documentary about a “legendary” grandmother, capturing her quiet movements and routines within her living space. The camera intimately follows her, creating moments where she shares reflections on her past and present, emphasizing the deep bond between filmmaker and subject. The film explores time and space through her presence, with her home, the streets, and the archive serving as portals for reflection. Additionally, it examines contemporary life in Istanbul, offering a lens into the city's evolving identity. As a work in progress, the project aims to further develop in the coming years, continuing to explore themes that ascend from the material world to the post-material.
